يختلف أسلوب ممارسة المهنة في سوق العمل عن ما يتم دراسته بالمرحلة الجامعية، حتي في الکليات العملية منها، وينطبق هذا الأمر علي مجال التخطيط العمراني، حيث أنه علي الرغم من أن هذا المجال تغلب عليه دراسة مقررات عملية (تطبيقية) خلال المرحلة الجامعية، إلا أنها تظل تعمل في إطار "تعليمي وطلابي"، وليس في إطار "احترافي ومهني"، وبناء عليه فإن دراسة مادة خاصة بتمکين الطالب (التخطيط العمراني) من الأدوات التي يمکن أن تساعده في بدء حياته العملية الإحترافية بصورة أکثر کفاءة وفعالية ومعرفة بالأمور المهنية من خلال دراسة مادة "ممارسة المهنة "في السنة النهائية بالکليات (کلية التخطيط الإقليمي والعمراني بجامعة القاهرة)، بحيث تلعب هذه المادة دور حلقة الوصل بين "الإطار التعليمي" و"الإطار الاحترافي" الفعلي في سوق العمل، من خلال تعريف الطالب بخصائص وآليات تنفيذ مهام "مهندس التخطيط العمراني" في سوق العمل، في إطار من أخلاقيات ممارسة هذه المهنة، فإن هذا يحقق الهدف من الدفع بکفاءات خريجين مستعدين للقيام بمهمتهم في سوق العمل بصورة أکثر فعالية، وهو الهدف الفعلي من دراسة هذه المادة في السنة النهائية بکلية التخطيط الإقليمي والعمراني بجامعة القاهرة، وهو ما يقدمه هذا البحث من خلال تقديمه للمحتوي العلمي والتعليمي لمادة "ممارسة المهنة" في مجال التخطيط العمراني من خلال طرح منهجية لإعداد هذا المحتوي مع تقديم آليات تنفيذ هذا المقرر الدراسي علي الطلاب في مجال "التخطيط العمراني." Practicing the profession in the labor market differs than what is being taught at university. This applies to the field of urban planning. Although this field includes applied studies during university level, yet, it is still done in an “educational & student” framework” not a “professional” framework. Hence, it is important to studying a special course that enables the student to acquire the tools that better support him at the beginning of his professional life. This can be achieved through the inclusion of “practicing the profession” course in the final year of the Regional and Urban Planning School, so that this course can act as the link between the “educational framework” and the actual “professional framework” in the job market. It will introduce the student to the characteristics and mechanisms of the job description of the “Urban planning engineer” in the job market in the framework of the ethics of the job. This can help achieve the objective of preparing new graduates capable of doing their jobs more professionally, which is the main purpose of including the course in the final year of the regional and urban planning school. This paper or research introduces the scientific and educational material for this course “practicing the profession” in the field of urban planning through proposing the methodology for this material along with the tools to apply this curriculum to the students in the field of urban planning.
