تهدف هذه الدراسة الي عرض أسلوب تخطيطي تشارکي تمّ من خلاله تکوين رؤية تخطيطية بديلة لمدينة الخرطوم الکبرى. هذه الرؤية ترسم المسار المرجو لمستقبل مدينة الخرطوم کما تتخيله فئة الشباب حتى العام 2033م. ويؤمل من هذه الرؤية أن تحافظ على موروثات المدينة الطبيعية، وتطِّور صورتها الحضرية والحضارية، إضافةً لاقتراح وسائل لحماية محتواها البيئي المتفرد. وهذه القضية الأخيرة لم تنل حظها في أغلب الخطط العمرانية السابقة لمدينة الخرطوم. اعتمدت الدراسة على المفهوم التشارکي في البحث العلمي. وتمّ ذلک من خلال سلسلة من ورش العمل التشارکية والتي هدفت إلى التيسير لفئةٍ من الشباب بغرض تحديد رؤية بديلة لمدينة الخرطوم، واضعين في الاعتبار الأبعاد البيئية والتشارکية في تکوين تلک الرؤية. الفئة المستهدفة من خلال هذه الورش هم فئة الشباب والتي تمّثل السکان المستقبليون لمدينة الخرطوم. أبرزت الدراسة العديد من التحديات البيئية الملحة التي تواجه مدينة الخرطوم الکبرى، کما أوضحت الکيفية التي ينظر بها هؤلاء الشباب لمستقبل الخرطوم في العام 2033م. اخُتتمت الدراسة بتوصيات وتوجهات تهدف إلى رسم خارطة طريق لتحقيق الرؤى التي تمّ تحديدها من خلال ورش العمل لضمان استدامتها وکيفية تنفيذها. The objective of this study is to present and document a process through which an alternative, participatory vision for Greater Khartoum has been generated and formulated. Such vision could chart a distinctive path for Khartoum’s future development as perceived by its future citizens – the youth – by the year 2033. This vision aims to preserve Khartoum’s natural heritage, to improve its urban image and to suggest strategies to protect its unique environmental context. The latter issues have barely been tackled and incorporated in Khartoum’s previous urban development plans. The materials presented in this article were generated through a series of participatory workshops that facilitated the formulation of an alternative vision by a sample of young people and future residents of Greater Khartoum. The study identified trends of how future generations envision Khartoum in 2033. The study identified several challenges that face Greater Khartoum, along with how the youth perceive its future in 2033. The study concludes by providing directives and recommendations that could pave the way to the realization of that vision, as well as to ensure the sustainability of suggested urban changes and transformations.
